Job Description

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated People Development Specialist to join our a dynamic HR team, for 15 months FTC to cover maternity leave.

Reporting to the People Development Partner, the successful candidate will work closely with the business, the HR Business Partners and the other internal and external training providers to run the training activities in the EAME region. You will assist in the design and the delivery of training sessions or workshops and the design of additional learning and development initiatives when new people challenges are reported.

As a People Development Specialist, you will support with the full learning and development cycle including needs analysis, the consolidation and the implementation of the training plan. You will supervise and oversee all the learning and development actions, assess their efficiency on people development and engagement and suggest corrective actions when needed to maintain a high standard quality learning and development offer.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with local and corporate stakeholders to facilitate training activities in the EAME region.
  • Manage the people development budget and provide quarterly reports to the People Development Partner.
  • Lead and manage the collection and analysis of training needs for the UK.
  • Liaise with and support remote centers in the EAME region in identifying and analyzing their training needs.
  • Assist in consolidating a training plan for developing people and leadership skills in the UK.
  • Coordinate with trainers providing technical and business skills to provide employees and managers with insights into people development activities.
  • Propose learning and development solutions to tackle emerging challenges.
  • Conduct research and recommend external training solutions to address identified needs.
  • Support the people development administrator as needed with training activity administration and logistics (e.g., updating the Learning Management System, scheduling training sessions, sending invitations, providing information to managers, booking trainers and rooms, arranging travel, preparing training materials, managing invoices and expenses).
  • Lead the effective implementation of training paths (including participant selection, communication with employees and managers, liaison with trainers, updating materials, and overseeing planning).
  • Collaborate with the people administration team to develop and maintain methods for tracking training data and generating relevant reports.
  • Review and evaluate both internally and externally held training courses.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and delivering/facilitating new courses and workshops in response to training needs.
  • Coordinate and communicate regarding Apprenticeships.
  • Prepare and support the delivery of the new employee induction process, conducting annual reviews and evaluations.
  • Support corporate (global) programs, activities, and initiatives as necessary.
  • Assist in creating the people development section of the HR newsletter.

This role is for 15 months to cover maternity leave

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Learning and Development.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working within a Human Resources environment.
  • Training qualification desirable.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging training courses and presentations.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other relevant databases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to take initiative and provide regular updates to the HR Business Partner.
  • Experience working in a technology or scientific company and in an international, matrix environment (preferred).
  • Insights Discovery accreditation (a plus).
