The Customer Activation Manager will have experience as a trade or shopper marketing manager or with commercial experience in the Foodservice channel, who has the ability to create activation plans in key accounts that inspire our customers and influence our consumers in Out of Home channels to accelerate our wellbeing visibility. They will create engaging point of sale to inspire consumers in outlet and support the OOH sales team in winning new business . The Customer Activation Manager will be able to confidently present category insights to win new business and drive relationships with our route to market customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Create a 12-month activation plan for key wholesalers and end-user accounts aligned to our brand plans. Channels include Workplace catering, Hotels, Travel, Coffee Shops etc. 
  • Own an always-on activation calendar and plan activations during the year – close relationship with OOH sales team, brand team and activation team
  • Creation of high impact, insight-based, compelling selling stories tailored to support mesh trade-up and value-adding initiatives.
  • Manage key performance indicators across campaigns to measure success and report back on findings with recommendations for future activations.
  • Interpret and present category data to wholesaler buyers and end-user customer buying teams. 
  • Creation of RTM adverts, newsletters, online digital banners and other RTM specific platforms
  • Working with creative agencies to design and deliver assets on time and within budget
  • Bidfood/Brakes – trade shows
  • Support innovation workstreams with activation tasks including buyer boxes, selling stories, trade events.
  • Attendance at key monthly business rhythm meetings (OOH Feeder) to share latest project status
  • Develop and maintain high quality brand asset library including digital assets and materials such as brochures, trade comms, POS
  • Work with Shopper Experience Manager to create tea menus, perfect serve solutions and tailored assets with the aim of increasing visibility of Twinings brand within key end-user accounts 
  • Launch assets with clear comms to end-user customers/staff
  • Contract Catering –  selling support decks, internal sell-in – launch activation 
  • Travel – customer facing adverts in on-board magazines, staff training manuals, photography and copy for menus
  • Hotels –  serve recommendations, menus, training manuals, merchandising, imagery, 
  • New Business – tenders, sustainability, selling decks, brand day prep, presenting at meetings ,product range review
  • Manage budgets and delivery timelines to ensure campaign goes live to align with brand marketing.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience as an activation, trade or shopper marketing manager, or with commercial experience in Foodservice channels. 
  • Experience of managing budgets and raising PO’s.
  • A can-do person with strong project management and planning skills. 
  • Experience of presenting plans at a high-level to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Agency management experience to convey clear creative activation requirements.
  • High performance mindset, resourceful and determined to find ways to overcome challenges.
  • They will be able to lead and deliver work cross functionally with high collaboration.
