Job Description

Join us as a Principal Test Consultant and you will get to work with a talented bunch of people, with some top brand names in industries such as e-commerce, health and advertising, and on projects that are interesting, complex and challenging.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build and grow our QA team. Working closely with our consultants to ensure that solutions are tested thoroughly; test cases, test results and defects are clearly documented, and any risks are reported back to the Delivery team.

You’ll be an advocate for testing best practices, tooling and will help our consultants ship high-quality features. On the operational side, your responsibilities will involve increasing the coverage of our automated UI end-to-end tests and running explorative testing tours.

What will I be doing?

Internally

• Defining best practices and standards for all projects
• Supporting pre-sales and customer engagement
• Supporting our QA practice by mentoring and building understanding of our framework
• Enhancing our Framework to support new technologies

Client Facing

• Defining test strategies and approaches for clients, agreeing on the test plan with Project Managers.
• Quality management including test management and reporting.
• Direct the use of Test Automation Frameworks to ensure testing is efficient and repeatable.
• Working closely with clients, technical consultants (onshore/offshore teams) and 3rd parties to deliver QA elements of an engagement.
• Implement automated tests using a variety of technologies.
• Managing and measuring performance and delivery against work plans and taking corrective action where necessary.

Qualifications

What experience/skills do I need?

• Has experience with data warehousing and associated concepts for testing purposes.
• Has experience with testing within Azure Modern Data Platform technologies (Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse)
• Detailed knowledge of modern testing life cycles and approaches, including TDD & BDD.
• Able to shape, direct and thereby improve our test automation frameworks.
• Commercial experience with driving transformation and change through QA best practices, including senior stakeholder management.
• Significant and demonstrable experience as a Senior Test Lead or Test Manager ideally gained within a commercial consultancy environment.
• Demonstrable experience producing, writing and delivering test strategy, plans, specifications and reports.
• Strong experience managing and leading distributed testing teams, especially offshore teams within an agile or DevOps development environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including customer engagements and supporting pre-sales.
• Formal Quality Assurance certification is desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of data platforms and analytics concept.
• Experience in testing from both a technical and business perspective.
• Has experience coaching on quality.
