We are now looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our Data Productivity Cloud team.
About the RoleThe Principal Product Manager is responsible for conceiving, prioritising, designing and managing initiatives to advance Matillion’s strategic goals and shape our future objectives. You wil be communicating market issues, promoting Matillion’s solution and driving alignment within internal teams to demonstrate market fit.
This role specifically works on Matillion’s Data Productivity Cloud, where you will be running the Data Ops and High Code side of this product. You’ll have the Data Engineer at the heart of everything we do, ensuring the product is cohesive throughout their journey and developing the strategic vision.
We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role can either follow our hybrid work structure where employees work 2 days a week in the Manchester office, or can be remote depending on location.
What you'll be doing
- You’ll be developing product roadmaps that inform our engineering teams of what problems need to be solved.
- You’ll also define leading indicators and metrics that will measure our products' success and effectiveness and drive the execution and continuous evaluation of those metrics.
- As the recognised expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology, and the competition, you’ll evangelise the product internally and externally.
- Finally, you’ll collate feedback from sales and customers to present internally.
What we are looking for
- Data Engineer with good Product Management skills
- Strategic thinker who can relate to customer problems to solutions and think holistically about the end-to-end experience
- Ability to advocate for the persona of the Data Engineer
- Strong communicator with the ability to positively challenge ideas
- Experience with Git and programming languages would be an advantage
At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is £80,000 - £120,000, but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
