The Role
The Corporate Communications Manager, Northern Europe is a valued consultant and support team member for the Northern Europe (UK, Ireland + Nordics) business at Kraft Heinz, a key market within our Europe and Pacific Developed Markets (EPDM) Zone.
In this role, you will be responsible for helping to develop and implement a proactive external comms plan for Northern Europe, furthering our Company narrative and supporting our local business priorities.
You will act as a partner on local brand PR initiatives, working with internal brand teams and our external consumer PR agency to assess brand PR campaigns from a reputational POV, and help strengthen storytelling for Kraft Heinz and its brands. You will also act as a press officer for Northern Europe and be point of contact on local crisis communications and issues management.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, EPDM, you will be a key member of the Europe Pacific Developed Markets (EPDM) Zone Communications team, supporting our Zone business priorities and ensuring all communications reflect the Company’s core values.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic planning & Management:
- Working closely with the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, EPDM, you will develop a Northern Europe-specific communications plan, tailoring our Zone framework to support the Northern Europe business strategy and priorities
- You will lead the development of an Executive Visibility plan for key stakeholders, SMEs and Northern Europe leadership, complementary to our Zone approach. You will also contribute to a Zone-wide exec visibility plan for our Leadership Team and key stakeholders/SMEs
- You will work with the Zone communications team to develop a proactive, news engine generation plan for the Zone / Northern Europe, building and maintaining an editorial calendar of key stories to tell externally on behalf of the Company in areas including, but not limited to, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DI&B), Environmental Social Governance (ESG), M&A activities, Innovation and our Company strategy
- You will work closely with the Northern Europe and Zone Internal Communications team on an integrated approach to all communications and storytelling, ensuring internal and external complement each other and support our overall strategy
- You will work closely with the brand team to provide counsel on all brand PR campaigns and to help execute where appropriate
- You will contribute to our media monitoring efforts, ensuring key coverage is captured and evaluated effectively
Content development & communications execution:
- You will develop messaging and materials for use across a variety of external comms channels and company spokespeople, including talking points, Q&A, social posts, speeches, press releases, media statements and briefing documents
- You will support the team with media relations activity, including proactive and reactive media management, media list management, media briefing documents, SME outreach/management and other supporting materials
- You will support on crisis communications and issues management as and when needed
- You will ensure that all communications reflect the Company’s core values and advance Kraft Heinz’s business strategy.
Stakeholder & Team Management:
- You will develop great relationships with key internal stakeholders, including – but not limited to – Marketing Communications / Brand, Growth, Operations, R&D ESG and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed
- You will be a primary contact for relevant agency partners and vendors, attending and managing Integrated Agency Team (IAT) meetings in a regular cadence as needed
- You will lead by example, spearheading an approach to communications that will instill a sense of urgency, cohesiveness and teamwork in Kraft Heinz’s workforce and inspire confidence and credibility among stakeholders
Qualifications
Domain Expertise
- 6+ years of working experience at a global consumer organization or communications agency.
Experiences
- Experience in a corporate communications role
- BA in Communications or equivalent

- Ambitious, strong project manager, collaborator, team player and individual contributor.
- Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders.
- High degree of personal and professional savvy and experience to inspire confidence among audiences at all levels of the organization.

- Strong writer, editor and ability to guide and influence others through prose.
- Experience in media outreach, media management, stakeholder management and media monitoring
