Content Strategist

As part of the Expedia Group SEO team, you'll collaborate across several fields (SEO, UX, Product, Engineering) to coordinate the creation of useful and cohesive landing page content for brands such as Expedia, Vrbo, and Hotels.com. You'll define content that helps travelers get the right information and make decisions. As a strategist in this space, you'll be creating well-crafted briefs based on your data-led research and innovative thinking, while coordinating directly with agencies for content creation. You'll devise ways to scale, differentiate and automate content across multiple pages, brands and languages. You’ll be seeing through content from ideation and research stage to reviewing it live on page. You'll also play an integral role in our SEO content strategy to create impactful content through smart solutions and content distribution systems.
What you'll do:
Coordinate agencies and content producers, project managing content creation for machine generated content solutions
Create content guidelines and participate in feedback loops to ensure high-quality and impactful content products at scale
Perform keyword research through various SEO and analytics tools to create SEO strategies and content briefs
Perform gap analysis, competitor research, and content ideation
Test and analyze performance of content initiatives, reporting on learnings
Publish content on our landing pages using a CMS and configuring content distribution
Communicate with teams inside and outside of SEO including Product, Engineering, UX and Brand on shared goals
Support the team's data-driven framework, coordinating and analyzing performance to inform decisions
Who you are:
2 years experience in SEO, digital content management or content strategy
A good understanding of the principles behind organic search optimization
Experience in authoring or editing content for landing pages with a phenomenal eye for detail
Excellent communicator
Experience performing keyword research using SEO tools
Experience working with Content Management Systems
Preferable to have experience with large websites or structured content at scale
Preferable to have a good understanding of writing for global users
Interest in SEO and landing page content strategy; you aren’t looking for a content marketing or copywriting role
Degree or equivalent related professional experience (Communications, Journalism, Marketing)
