Digital Media Trading Senior Specialist
As Expedia Group consolidates media planning and buying across its portfolio of brands, the importance of governance and consistency across media investments has become more prevalent. A supporting role is
required to assist the Global Digital Media Investment team and ensure that Expedia Group Brands are getting the best value from their digital media spend by leveraging group buying power, cross-brand buying and performance insights and measurement at a group level. This role will be responsible for creating and supporting processes across the investment infrastructure of digital media disciplines.
The Digital Media Trading Senior Specialist will report directly to the Head of Digital Trading, with a key role in delivering cost savings that impact media performance and the companies bottom line. The role will also be responsible for providing consultative support in achieving business process excellence, as well as tracking and monitoring of digital media deals.
What you'll do:
Provide support to the Head of Digital Trading with an assessment of existing deals at both a brand and group level and identify areas for deal growth and cost saving
To be able to hold complex negotiations with global digital media vendors, including but not limited to Google, The Trade Desk, Netflix, Teads, Spotify, and other CTV, Digital Audio, Display and Video media providers
Support delivery of planning and execution of digital deals with delivery stakeholders
Forecasting and tracking digital spend and accumulated value with key media partners and providing readouts to team and leadership
Maintaining record of deal and pricing structures for all digital partners, including added value and strategic
Keeping abreast of changes within the Digital Media marketplace - sharing market intelligence with investment teams at EG Media
To maintain a comprehensive understanding of how to deliver against guarantees, whilst assuming responsibility for managing implementation
Day-to-day ownership of contractual responsibilities with Legal and Procurement teams. Management of direct media buys through internal processes where necessary
Sourcing digital media deals and opportunities on behalf of Expedia Brands and EG Media, including but not limited to alpha/beta opportunities, new vendors, new products and innovations
Providing consultancy to media investment teams around where EG Media has leverage and the ability to maximize commercial benefits with specific partners and channels
Who you are:
Operational knowledge of brands media strategies and practices
Excellent listening, facilitation, and communication skills
Strong office software skills
Strong interpersonal, expectation management and stakeholder alignment skills
A solid understanding of digital media ecosystem from programmatic to reservation buys and their respective intricacies, limitations and processes
Comfortable working with stakeholders across multiple time-zones and across matrixed teams
The flexibility to work with a varied workload, often under pressure
Comfort with a dynamic environment; willingness to take ownership of issues and drive solutions
Understanding of media buying platforms i.e Trade Desk & DV360
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $82,500 to $115,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
