Senior Tax Analyst – Global Indirect Tax

We’re seeking a motivated Global Indirect Tax Senior Analyst to join us in supporting Expedia Group’s multiple lines of business and brands for our London office (Angel area). This is an advisory role where you will be involved in the indirect tax matters across the globe. 

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager of Global Indirect Tax, based in London. 

What you’ll do 

• Perform tax research and analysis for new business initiatives outlining tax impacts, tax requirements and recommendations, including cross team coordination  

• Support with the execution of the indirect tax strategies, improvements and tax requirements 

• Support business teams with the day-to-day questions 

• Perform tax research and analysis of indirect tax legislation in various countries, including analyzing data and determining the implications for the various lines of business (Lodging, Air, Activities, Car rental) and brands (e.g. Expedia, Hotels.com, eBookers) 

• Assist with internal and external tax audits 

• Coordinate and work with different members of the tax team in London, Seattle and Singapore, and cross functionally with finance, commercial, and legal teams, and external advisors 

• Review business agreements and make recommendations on tax clauses 

Who you are 

• Experience in the tax department with a public accounting and/or law firm. Industry experience in the technology/travel sector is a plus 

• VAT/GST experience required 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change with a desire to learn, and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and working with large data sets. Experience with Tableau is a plus 

• Pro-active and diligent problem solver with attention to detail 

• Works well independently and in a team environment
