Red Bull UK are recruiting for a Culture Communication Manager (Music & Dance) to be based in London, UK.


The Communications Manager for Culture is responsible for proactively leading all aspects of our communications plans in the field of Music & Dance including content development, programming and earned media strategies. They will be responsible for growing brand love by engaging new & existing consumers with authentic, innovative, and engaging content linked to our Music & Dance Marketing assets (artists, athletes & events).They will also be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key media partners and influencers. They will become the point person for all UK Media Network activity within Music & Dance across the UK and International business. They will be responsible for designing and delivering a year-round communications plan, informed by their knowledge of the audience and media landscape within Music & Dance, to grow Red Bull’s reach and impact.

Job Description

Key success factors

Driving and enabling greater ambition, differentiated content, credible brand attribution and funnel growth in earned, managed and owned media.
Delivery of quality media coverage, targeted cleverly and including consistent messaging around Red Bull’s Music & Dance events, athlete(s), artists and content projects.
Utilise participants, artists, and / or athlete(s) to credibly talk about Red Bull product usage within rehearsing, training and events in general.
Innovative use of media channels and tactics including digital and social media, reaching consumers in the right places with the right content.
Great content/stories produced from events, participants and athlete(s) for Red Bull owned channels.
Setting, tracking and regular reporting of KPIs, keeping us on the path to success while tapping into insight to evolve approach as required.

Projects

Taking the lead among your Media Network colleagues (Programming & Content team) working alongside you within the Music & Dance audience group.
Responsible for coordination and communication of all Culture Marketing team activity.
Holistic calendar planning in cooperating with Programming team, including identifying assets from the wider world of Red Bull to leverage for network growth.
Established as the clear first point of contact for Music & Dance activity within the wider Marketing department.
Regularly reporting audience performance back to the wider UK Media Network, across Earned, Managed & Owned (expectation for monthly performance updates and a quarterly deep dive).
Leading regular project updates within the Media House Management Team (MHMT).

Collaboration

Translate Music & Dance marketing initiatives into relevant media products; identifying content and story opportunities in close collaboration with the Culture Marketing team.
Leading Dance & Music network group to drive network growth and deliver on marketing objectives.
Develop and implement communications activity to raise awareness and leverage of Red Bull’s Music & Dance events, artists, athletes, content and international finals.
Create engaging content and stories from participants, artists, athletes for placement in external media and Red Bull owned / managed channels such as Music YouTube Channel,  The Red Bulletin, Red Bull social channels, etc…
Activity includes production and distribution of editorial content including photography and moving images when needed.
Build relations with key media partners and influencers across Music & Dance.

Leadership

Management of one direct report, Dance Communication Specialist. Provide on-going coaching and support to ensure the Communication Specialist delivers their own plans consisting of:
Development and implementation of communications activities to raise awareness and leverage of Red Bull’s Dance events and athlete(s), content and international finals.
Create engaging content and stories from participants, athletes for placement in external media and Red Bull owned / managed channels.
Activity includes production and distribution of editorial content including photography and moving images when needed.
Build relations with key dance media partners and dance based influencers.

Athlete Development

Athlete(s) development includes: development of long term media strategies, working with B-Boy Sunni to raise his profile, deepen his association with Red Bull and communicate his usage of our product in key occasions.
Full autonomy over budget to implement as determined (inc. agency support, creative seeding etc).
Using insights to lead ideation for annual Business Plan process.
Ensure all media coverage is captured and KPIs set and tracked to be evaluated to guide future priorities.
Maintaining a close collaborative relationship with your counterparts at HQ and other markets to share best practice and implement in the UK where appropriate.
 

Qualifications

Strong planning, leadership, and project management skills.
Experience in Marketing, preferably in youth-oriented companies, respective agency or premium positioned brands.
People management experience.
Perfect understanding of youth culture and their social media habits and interests.
Passionate about Music and Dance.
Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
Creative mind paired with an entrepreneurial ‘can-do’ attitude focusing on solutions.
Open minded and at ease to connect with others and to inspire them.
Strong communications skills.
A role model when it comes to living and representing our brand and its values.
