Sales Support officer

THE ROLE:

Assist Outside Sales / Inside Sales by providing support to carry out Sales Functions and responsible to Sales managers for the effective implementation of services offered to the clients that will achieve predetermined targets and budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a  Sales Support–your commitments are;

Main Activities:

• Follow up with potential clients on rates quoted by the outside sales /Inside sales to secure bookings

• Assist outside sales / Inside Sales by providing support in Sales functions and Act as Complete Backup for Outside Sales / Inside Sales linked.
• Arrange to quote rate / on carriages to the customers on behalf of outside / Inside sales.
• Update Maritime Opportunities when outside sales pic / Inside Sales  is out of office/Leave.
• Promote CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA…)
• Generate Ceva X sell leads for Digitalized customers.
• Promote – SPOTON – Digital Products – Act as Support to customers on All SPOTON related commercial queries.
• Follow up with the customers for booking (Quotation follow-up)
• Prompt reply on RFI and closure of the same for smooth processing of bookings.
• Respond and action queries from clients/agents
• Distribution to clients of Sailing Schedules, announcements of GRR / BAF variations / service changes
• As part of SQ filing propose volume potential & target to pricing desks to HO / RO.
• Coordinate with HO/ RO on rate quotations and market information and provide proper feedback on the outcome of rate negotiations to Agency management /HO/RO
• Have thorough knowledge of CMA CGM line services and routings.
• Good  knowledge on reefer /dry/special equipment and hazardous cargo.
• Ensure due diligence and compliance maintained OFEC/sanctions related countries.
• Participate in Sales/ Trade meetings as required.
• Quote to clients and ensure proper rate filings in place prior vessel sailings
• No releases to go without a rate agreement in place
• Respond to customers within 24 hours of message received
• Make sure the correct sq line is filed and correct autofreightinng is done for the same .
• Rate quotations and negotiated to be updated as opportunities in NOVA Business.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE:

Must have:

• Knowledge of competition activities in the market
• Have  adequate information on competition services in order to sell CMA CGM services better to customers
• English  
• Software / IT Applications

Nice to have:

• Graduate (3 years regular course ) Any bachelor degree or Equivalent University Degree
• Must have atleast 3 years of Industry experience in similar capacity and should have knowledge of the end to end process of Shipping sales.
