Production Planning Coordinator

 

The Opportunity 

 

This role involves planning, scheduling, and processing Production Orders for production scheduling as needed. This role will assist in production planning to ensure work is on the floor in a timely fashion, allowing for a smooth flow of processing. This position will report to the Supply Planning Manager.

  • Support Production Planning daily with scheduling and processing of production orders.
  • Communicate all necessary changes to the production department, sales, customer service, and inventory control as needed.
  • Support with the implementation of SAP software while maintaining legacy systems during implementation.
  • Prepare usage and inventory reports for order review.
  • Update the production schedule with inventory status and inventory requirements.
  • Retrieve and file batch sheet folders.
  • Copy batch sheets, record lot numbers, and forward to warehouse/shipping.
  • Verify lot numbers in Process Pro and the production schedule.
  • Follow and track the formula preparation process.
  • Copy and distribute the finished production schedule.
  • Prepare and print yield calculations for production runs.
  • Assist with scheduling, data entry, and other duties as required.

   

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a food or nutraceuticals manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively interact cross-functionally with other teams in the plant and customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work with autonomy.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
