What you’ll be doing:
As the Head of Contract and Cost Management, you will serve as a leader in delivering value through the strategic management of contractual and cost matters, delivering consistent project outcomes. You will drive collaboration across regional functions, adapting strategies to the local context while maximising the efficacy of existing resources.
This role possesses extensive client-side experience with a preference for additional exposure to contractor-side operations to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the construction ecosystem. You will be responsible for steering the Cost and Contract Management (CCM) operations on Major Projects with budgets ranging from GBP 20 million to over GBP 200 million, requiring significant financial oversight and strategic acumen. You will also enhance financial returns by expediting project delivery, minimizing capital expenditures, and fostering a proactive commercial response to market dynamics and ability to respond to commercial opportunities.
This role will lead and oversee all cost and contractual matters ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, partnering closely with the Major Projects, Development and Delivery teams. You will develop, execute and monitor a comprehensive contract management, cost management, and change management framework to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project development and delivery. You will lead the establishment of uniform cost planning, estimating and reporting methodologies across Major Projects to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial forecasting.
What we need:
The role is required to be based in either London, Humber or Southampton, with flexibility to travel to various locations across the UK, and with on-site presence expected Monday to Friday.
