Job Descrption

As the world’s leading illustrated non-fiction Publisher we are after a highly creative and effective Senior PR Manager to join our busy UK Brand and Communications department.

Reporting into the Head of the Department, this management role within the PR team is responsible for planning, implementing and producing sales-driving campaigns across all media and other relevant promotional avenues. Working closely with Brand Managers, the Social team and ROW PR teams, you will work on DK’s Adult titles, with a strong focus on lifestyle and with a particular specialism in food and drink.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Development of strategic and creative thinking driving consumer-focused publicity campaigns from the point of acquisition through to publication
  • Supporting the Head of Adult and deputising where appropriate
  • Bringing new audiences and readers to our brand and ensuring the best possible coverage and results
  • High level author care (including working with debut authors), whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with agents and other key stakeholders across the business, and providing timely sell-in information and campaign updates
  • Building DK’s profile in trade press through acquisition announcements, and dealing with internal and external PR enquiries, delegating when appropriate
  • Being a role model within the team, problem solving and providing support and advice where required and encouraging a ‘can-do’ attitude

You’ll have solid experience of leading high profile campaigns across a range of different book genres and be a confident, natural relationship builder with extensive media relations and knowledge of the media, including working with online content creators, digital media, events and festivals.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a PR professional who loves working in and around publishing and wants to be part of a dynamic team in a global company.

To apply, please submit a cover letter clearly stating your salary expectations and your most recent CV by 25th February 2024
