Accounts Payable Specialist (12-month contract)
London
BMG is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Transactions Team, contributing to our commitment to excellence in financial operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, the ideal candidate should bring proven AP expertise, a genuine passion for accounts payable, and proficiency in SAP. What you'll be doing.
- Ensuring all invoices are processed in line with HMRC guidelines and internal controls.
- PO matching and forwarding of invoices to relevant departments for approval.
- Preparation of payment runs including BACS, International Transfer, SEPA, and CHAPS.
- Generation of payment files and uploading them onto the banking system.
- Inter-company processes.
- Assisting business with PO creation and management.
- Management of supplier queries and invoice payments.
- Vendor master data creation through outsourced shared services.
- Supplier statement reconciliation.
- Aged Creditors reporting.
- Reconcile all cash in transit accounts.
- Ensure correct documentation is kept and maintained for audit purposes.
Who you are.
- Passionate about and expereienced in AP.
- Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in accounts payable functions.
- Confidently engages with the business, ensuring clear communication.
- Possesses first-hand experience and proficiency in SAP for efficient financial transactions.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and adherence to HMRC guidelines.
- Skilled in end-to-end payment processes, including PO matching, invoice approval, and various payment methods.
- Efficiently manages inter-company processes, supports PO creation, handles supplier queries, and oversees vendor master data creation.
- Experienced in reconciling supplier statements, generating aged creditors reports, and maintaining correct documentation for audit purposes.
