Job Descrption

 

 

As one of five Recruitment Partners, reporting into the Head of Recruitment, you will be responsible for leading all recruitment activity on behalf of our Finance, Sales & Distribution business areas.

This is a busy and varied role; responsible for the entire recruitment lifecycle; from building the employer brand, managing advertising campaigns, performing initial interviews & screening calls, and supporting our managers throughout the recruitment process. You will be responsible for sourcing high quality talent to challenging deadlines through direct sourcing, advertising, and head-hunting, so it's important that you can confidently communicate with all stakeholders and be able to develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires and internal stakeholders.

This is a fixed term contract to cover parental leave, so whilst we can’t guarantee the duration we anticipate it will be approximately 12months.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • In collaboration with hiring managers, build out & execute recruitment plans & campaigns.
  • Proactively lead the hiring process, from market insights and job briefings, through to candidate selection and offers.
  • Conduct thorough screening and assessment of candidates.
  • Advise on optimum selection processes based on the needs of the role.
  • Promote the company's employer brand, values, culture, and showcase what makes us uniquely Penguin.

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Previous Recruitment experience, ideally in an inhouse context
  • Demonstrable understanding of the full recruitment process.
  • Client mindset: Partnering is a huge focus, with an effective communication style and credibility as an influencer who can build close relationships.
  • Constructive questioning and influencing skills while maintaining collaborative relationships and constant dialogue with hiring managers.
  • Flexibility of style and able to adjust to the individual needs.
  • Team mindset: offering support, sharing expertise & celebrating successes as a collective.

Salary: £39,000 - £43,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role

Hybrid working: We’re experimenting with a hybrid way of working that suits the needs of each team. While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work from the office, based in London, twice a week and work the remaining days remotely.
