Penguin Ventures, the licensing and consumer products division of Penguin Random House Children’s UK, is looking for a Licensing Executive, within the Hardlines category, to join their growing team. The Hardlines categories include toys and games, gifting and collectables, stationary and paper goods and food and beverage.

We connect with our audience and fans at every touch point – whether that’s on physical products, through partnerships at retail, within promotions, across digital, or through live experiences such as stage shows or garden trails – managed in-house through our expert team.  

 

 

The Role 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hardlines and joining a growing team, this role is responsible for an array of licensing sales support, including:

  • To provide overall sales support to the Senior Manager, Hardlines in order to deliver towards the overall annual hardline budget.

  • To manage certain secondary hardline licensees.

  • To provide support and drive new business ideation, lead generation and approaches in order to close new hardline deals.

  • Administrative and organisational support for the Senior Manager, Hardlines

 

 

What You’ll Bring  

 

You will bring some licensing experience and an overall understanding of the licensing business industry, although you’ll be keen to learn more! You don’t need to have worked in publishing before, or with children’s brands. You’ll also have:

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proactive and solutions focused with high attention to detail and an understanding of business and licensing processes.

  • Excellent PowerPoint skills to ensure presentations are clear, well designed and communicate the key information for licensees and partners.

Salary: Circa £30,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align with the role, plus bonus and benefits.

For this role we expect that you are in our office - based in Pimlico - around 2-3 days a week.
