A vacancy will shortly arise within our Quality Control Department for a Quality Manager, reporting directly to the Finished Products Manager.
Responsibilities:
Set visual and dimensional quality standards for all finished products to ensure product quality meets customer requirements.
Identify key tasks within finished products and develop training material for each task.
Liaise with planning to ensure packaging stock for production needs are met.
Produce QC manuals and issue to QC inspectors in order to control product quality against standards.
Conduct analysis on trial unit samples and first runs to ensure production meets quality standards.
Oversee job changes to ensure correctly set up and tested in order that products meet quality standards.
Investigate and resolve quality problems.
Liaise with other UK plant quality managers and customers.
Deputise for Finished Pack Manager when required.
Required skills / qualifications:
Educated to SQA Higher Level.
Familiar with interpretation of technical and numerical data, document control, ETQ/Lotus Notes.
Familiar with glass inspection equipment and bottle faults.
Knowledge of customer filling lines and requirements.
Awareness/knowledge of ISO 9001/BRCGS requirements, procedures and systems.
Enthusiasm, commitment, personal drive, and customer focus.
A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement
Awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills.
