This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a high-calibre data and analytical professional looking to apply their excellent analytical skills to directly influence decision making. The purpose of this role is to collect, analyse and interpret data to provide valuable insights that support strategic decision-making by working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify data sources and develop analytical solutions.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Head of Procurement Data & Analytics in producing analysis necessary for implementing strategies that reduce cost, mitigate risks in the supply chain and improve procurement outcomes.
Collect and compile data from various sources and organise them for analysis, using techniques to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, patterns and correlations within the date.
Create, update and maintain regular analytical reports, such as KPI reporting and related dashboards which show how the Procurement function is performing against its goals and objectives.
Generate and deliver ad-hoc analysis and reports for use by the Procurement function and other areas of the business, including the Commercial and Finance functions.
Required skills / qualifications:
Educated to at least first degree-level, ideally in a numerate discipline.
Strong aptitude for manipulating and gaining insights from datasets, with the use of statistical and/or modelling techniques desirable, but not essential..
Proficiency in the use of Excel, and/or other data analysis and visualization tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI is desirable, but not essential.
Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality in data analysis.
Good communicator with the ability to present the results of an analysis clearly and in a manner appropriate for the target audience.
