London, Birmingham or Bristol – hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 wherever.

The role in question will play a pivotal role in helping BT and BT Digital achieve their aspirations. This presents an exciting opportunity to be part of our Learning, Leadership, Talent, Culture & Diversity team during this exciting phase of growth and change.

What you’ll be doing

•    Responsible for the design and delivery of the talent strategy in Digital, including the identification, management and progress of talent.
•    Deliver the end-to-end pan-BT talent review and succession planning process for our most senior population, adapting and simplifying the process to meet the needs of the customer (Digital colleagues).
•    Provide data analysis and insights into talent metrics to identify talent problems or needed interventions, looking beyond just historical data and looking for predictive analytics.
•    Act as a consultancy function for leaders and the HR Business Partnering team to identify impactful talent development interventions and offerings, including pan-BT opportunities as well as bespoke solutions for the Digital community.
•    Help to design and deliver talent attraction campaigns with a particular focus on attracting critical Digital skills.
•    Manage projects in collaboration with team members in the leadership, performance and talent team, with a particular focus on D, E and I initiatives, leadership development, cultural change and high performance.
•    Collaborate and work across HR, both in Digital and pan-BT, to become a trusted delivery partner and provide talent solutions for our customer (Digital colleagues).
•    Keep up to date of external trends and best practices in talent management and succession planning, bringing outside in thinking to Digital at BT.
 

Skills and experience

•    Data analysis and able to form insights to drive better people and strategic decision making.
•    Strategic and critical thinking to understand and relate to the nature of the customer environment.
•    Continuous improvement skills to identify better ways of working.
•    Collaborative working and stakeholder engagement and management; building high levels of trust at all levels and able to challenge the status quo.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and oral - to clearly illustrate What, Why and How.
•    Influencing skills with the courage and ability to challenge senior leaders.
•    Ability to work at pace and in a complex, global environment.
•    Project methodology an advantage to ensure initiatives are well planned and successfully implemented.
