You will play a key role in the strategic design and delivery of BT’s key Tier 1 telephone exchanges, Data Centres and Core Mobile sites.
You’ll be Quantity Surveyor supporting the full delivery programme covering all elements associated with M&E projects. Projects includes DNO upgrades and reductions, AC / Standby Power systems, AC infrastructure, DC Power, Cooling, BMS and site construction.
Experienced in Mechanical & Electrical projects to help support the delivery team in the full end to end project and programme delivery. Experience in cost evaluations, cost modelling, monthly valuations, project measuring.
Ensure projects are cost effective by helping support the delivery team and PC/PD to find efficient techniques that can reduce our CAPEX investments. Help support best practices, standardisation and other techniques to create programme cost efficiencies.
Lead and support post project completion audits.
Stakeholder management is crucial to the job, you will produce reports, brief the wider organisation on progress and ensure our suppliers are well informed.
You will oversee the end to end delivery programme, providing programme management and structured progress communication to stakeholders.
Prioritise H&S – To have regard for health and safety, his/her job license and skills as agreed with line manager.
Delivers work with full regard of H&S aspects. Carries out on-site risk assessments giving careful consideration to any hazards before starting work and as the work progresses. Inform manager and record near misses/incidents. Is comfortable challenging and asking others to display their ID passes when on BT premises. Complies with all ISO Audit Requirements, including 14001 and 45001.
