About this role
Flexible Hybrid working - 3 days a week together in our Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or Bristol Digital Hub (flexible 2 days wherever).
At BT, we take a user-centered and iterative approach to digital product design to ensure the best experiences for our customers across their journeys. This means we step into the shoes of our customers, to understand how they interact with us digitally and what they expect from our products and services.
As Product Design Manager, you’ll balance a rigorous user-centric perspective with the ability to make bold decisions and help the team move the product and people forward in a fast-paced environment.
BT Design Managers are responsible for quality assurance of the design final product. They stay close to the squads to provide a trusted design leadership, empowering their chapters to run their own crits but stepping in where needed to set and maintain standards of work.
You will also act as a final arbiter of design prioritisation. Great design requires lots of iteration, and excellent work often ends up being deferred due to shifting priorities. With their knowledge of design capacity within their alliance, design managers make the final call on design priorities if it cannot be resolved at squad level.
You will help to grow an amazingly talented design team and to positively impact the lives of the millions of customers that engage with us bringing them close to the things that matter most to them. This is your chance to join us on our ground-breaking journey.
