Paralegal/Solicitor Apprentice (Professional Level 3/7)
This apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for BT colleagues to become a paralegal and then a solicitor, by moving to an exciting legal career with BT’s in house team.
You’ll be joining our award-winning LRACSS function, which is made up of our legal, regulatory and company secretary teams which support BT’s various consumer-facing and corporate units. Together, we provide a first-class service to help BT to develop market leading products and services, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations and protect our commercial interests, with the ultimate aim of helping BT to meet its strategic goals.

Our award-winning apprenticeship programme offers you the opportunity to gain qualifications, hands-on experience as well as personal and professional development. You’ll be joining us in LRCS, a team that is made up of a variety of experienced legal and regulatory professionals, covering specialisms such as commercial and corporate transactions, advisory, data, regulatory and litigation.
We’ll make sure you’ll learn the key legal concepts like contract and litigation, as well as having the opportunity to gain experience in other specialist areas such as competition, privacy, security, and regulatory affairs.
We’ve got lots of different roles you could be doing, from working on exciting product launches in Consumer, Enterprise and Global, supporting the business with competition and employment matters, strategic transactions, and disputes in Corporate, to ensuring BT maintains its position as a cyber security leader in Data.
As a LRACSS Apprentice, you’ll study for a the appropriate apprenticeship at BPP depending on what qualifications you already have – A levels, degree or law degree. At this stage, we are keeping the pool of applicants wide – if you have any legal qualification (like a degree or CPE/LPC) that’s great. If not, and you can show an interest in a legal career, please feel free to submit an application. The programme combines a practical hands-on approach with the academic balance you need to be a successful paralegal.
Bristol
You’ll need to achieve (or have achieved) three A-Levels with a minimum of 96 UCAS points. You'll also need to have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
You will need to have achieved a Good Work performance rating in the last financial year and not be under a performance plan.
£21,000 - £33,500 depending on experience.
