Bristol - hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 wherever.

Colleagues are the heart of BT Group and BT wouldn’t be the same without them and that is why this role matters. You will be the Subject Matter Expert to complete HR processes, and transactions and generally support our colleagues through the whole colleague lifecycle.

 

The purpose of this role is to provide an invaluable service to our colleagues in BT, covering the whole colleague lifecycle, and delivering high-quality HR advice and support with outstanding colleague experience. You are the HR services Subject Matter Expert and are responsible for providing offline advice to colleagues for queries received via HRHD, emails and a newly create Workplace channel. This would include cases that couldn’t be completed live by our phone & chat Helpdesk colleagues and cases with increased complexity. Queries could also involve resolving issues that do not always have a standard-setting process to follow, where you would need to pull on your knowledge and skills to resolve. We aim to understand our colleague’s priorities and use our knowledge & experience to create the right solutions for them. You will be a trusted colleague by providing consistent and high-quality service while being flexible to work across boundaries. You will also be seen as a coach to our HR

 

Support teams as well as support your Team Leader, including supporting resolving any escalations. Part of this role also holds responsibility for cyclical activity such as Team Member's Pay Review, Manager's Pay Review and Bonus. You will be working very closely with Awarding Managers and HR Business partners to ensure everything happens when it needs to and is in line with the process, policy & budgets associated with the review. You will manage escalations & exceptions and be the point of contact for the business area you support, check through any errors, and solve issues along the way.

 

You will be contributing to the wider HR Transformation agenda by always applying a continuous improvement lens to the work completed.

  • Consumer (Including EE & PlusNet)
  • Technology, Global and Corporate Functions

•Demonstrate IT competency by quickly learning and efficiently utilising internal systems, continually building expertise.
•Communicate effectively through various channels, maintaining clear and supportive interactions with colleagues, stakeholders, and team leaders while upholding strict confidentiality within the HR community.
•Foster a coaching mentality to support and empower colleagues, promoting a growth-oriented team environment.
•Support team leaders in driving operational success and achieving strategic goals.
•Provide consistent, high-quality service while adapting to work across diverse boundaries as a trusted team member.
•Identify trends and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
•Review and enhance processes to optimise efficiencies and streamline operations.
•Monitor and uphold standards, proactively addressing shortcomings and developing preventive solutions.
•Contribute to insight-driven improvements by actively participating in solution design and implementation.
