The role holder delivers defined revenue, product volume and quality targets through the acquisition, up-selland retention of UK SME customers. Sales opportunities are initiated by either an inbound call from a customeror outbound call as part of a specific campaign andin accordance with business requirements. The role holder will answer and respond to customer enquiries efficiently, effectively, and appropriately in accordance with defined processes and procedures.
What you'll be doing
Work with a defined account base of small SME customers, who typically have single sites and relatively simple order needs.
Ensure an understanding of BT’s products and services to be able to effectively acquire customers and ensure that the customer’s needs are being appropriately met.
To drive outbound calls to acquire new customers in 10-49 customer segment.
Typically sell BT & EE’s standard products – across mobile, connectivity, and IP voice. May sell products across multiple towers to the same customer if required to meet their needs
Develop successful, sustainable, and profitable relationships within the defined account base. Use strong communication and influencing skills to build relationships with key customer contacts and decision makers.
Following BT sales methodology and procedures to retain, develop and grow business such as; effective questioning to landscape accounts.
Thrive in a target driven, customer facing environment in order to achieve targets and KPIs. Targets may include; customer contact activity, pipeline health and SOV/ revenue growth.
Keep sales tools and systems up to date and well organized with accurate customer information, to support effective decision making and to comply with GDPR.
Identify both new business opportunities and growth opportunities within the account base
Influence decision makers to make timely decisions that help us achieve the business outcomes
The skills you need
Confident and effective communicator – able to listen, influence, guide and convey messages articulately both written and verbally.
Comfortable using IT systems, databases and software packages – previous experience with data bases, data savvy, emails and UC such as Teams.
Customer service skills - awareness of how to approach and deal with customers wants and needs, setting expectations and providing solutions.
Track record of achieving / exceeding targets – motivated and driven by targets, able to focus on outcomes and organise workload to maximise these.
Adaptable and willing to learn - able to take guidance, constructive feedback and follow processes taught during training, flexible to try new methods when guided to do so.
Sales experience is advantageous – although not essential, being willing to learn, driven and ambitious goes a long way!
