As Service Request Designer, you'll engaged in delivering a workable & efficient design / networking solutions to enable successful delivery of complex secure national infrastructure for our Defence contract within BT Business. By working collaboratively across all defence teams, you'll help ensure successful fulfilment of orders, delivered proactively within set timeframes and achieve our customer’s expectation of service excellence. 

You will be able to work from a desk based role, within a secure environment whilst sticking to security protocol. Please note - the role is subject to you gaining and maintaining the necessary level of Security Clearance needed to undertake your work, minimum requirement SC with a willingness to obtain DV clearance.

What you'll be doing

1. Producing complex design solutions that meet the customer’s requirement & clearly communicate the requirements of the service to be provided
2. Designing solution to detail equipment, components, networks services, cabinet layouts, connectivity diagrams, and field team work instructions
3. Identifying and communicate risk, in respect to any impact on delivery within customer SLA’s
4. Supporting the implementation of new technologies onto the secure defence infrastructure
5. Tracking & update asset management databases with implemented design change

What we would like to see on your CV

1. Good IT literacy skills (MS Office) - You're able to manipulate data, prepare documents and presentations
2. Experience of working with Microsoft Visio is preferred
3. Prioritisation of complex workloads, dealing with multiple complex orders
4. Ability to work both independently & collaboratively with internal / external customers
5. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo Government Security Clearance to SC level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
