Senior Manager, Strategy & Market Insights at BT Group

This role is avalible on a hybrid working basis in either Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bristol locations. 

As a Senior Strategy and Market Insights Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of Business Digital through strategy formulation and data-driven insights, identifying and articulating market opportunities for revenue growth that in parallel solves customer pain points.Responsible for specific strategies that target the development of propositions aimed at expanding market share and generating sustainable growth, you will operate as an SME on new business opportunities specifically non telco products and leveraging revenue share models with partners. 


You will be responsible for leading, and collaborating a cross-functional team to develop and execute business strategy and ensuring alignment with Digital objectives. By leveraging market research, data analysis, and industry trends, you will provide actionable insights to inform key decision-making processes.Employing and actively maintaining knowledge of critical business concepts relevant to the business unit, you will use business knowledge to inform decision making, whilst leading workstreams to progress long term growth and portfolio development at unit level.

What you will be doing

  • Develop, refine, and communicate Digital Business  strategic vision and objectives
  • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation, and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments of a market, including the size of the market both in volume and in value, the various customer segments and buying patterns, the competition, and the economic environment in terms of barriers to entry and regulation
  • Translate market insights into actionable recommendations to inform business strategies.
  • Utilize data analytics and quantitative methods to extract meaningful insights from various sources.
  • Leads the development of financial and valuation models to arrive at a valuation conclusion and ensure strong decision-making and robust business case development
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting performance trends and actionable insights.
  • Stays abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices
  • Collaborate with digital & business leadership team to drive strategic initiatives forward.
  • Contributes to the development of the strategy and roadmap for Business Digitals core value proposition, products, and services.
  • Work as a trusted partner, building strong relationships with colleagues across the business to influence value drivers and optimise profitability.
  • Oversees the development of clear, compelling presentations to support decision making on strategic topics with senior stakeholders.

Skills

  • Proven experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and business insights, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing and executing successful strategies.
  • Experience of taking a Telco/non telco product to marketplace. 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Confident at challenging, influencing and negotiating at senior level on a regular basis. 
  • High level of business acumen and excellent commercial experience – be able articulate risk assessment and impact.
  • Experience of large-scale strategy and planning in a customer delivery environment 
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, data modelling and experience of business/continuous improvement methodology and practices
