As an AI and New Tech Programme Manager, you will be the linchpin of this transformation, leading a matrixed, talented team to bring our AI and emerging tech visions to life. Your role is pivotal in shaping the trajectory of BT as you will drive the successful implementation of AI and new tech initiatives, ensuring they align seamlessly with our strategic objectives. What you’ll be doing

  • AI and New Tech Strategy and Roadmap Development: 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the AI and new tech vision, goals, and strategy aligned with business objectives. 
  • Develop a comprehensive AI and new tech roadmap outlining project milestones, timelines, and resource allocation to achieve strategic goals. 
  • Programme Management 101 with cross functional tams, keeping in line with our risk, data governance and data quality policies, ensuring reusability and ethical standards of our ML models 
  • Strong focus on business cases, risk management and dependencies with strong ability to unblock to run at pace.  
  • Regularly update key stakeholders on project progress, outcomes, and upcoming milestones. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to AI and new tech project implementation. 
  • Promote ethical AI practices and responsible use of data. 

Experience you'll have

  • Project management: Must have experience of managing complex programmes or portfolios of projects, selecting most suitable methodologies and implementing the necessary tools, processes and frameworks. 
  • Be agile: You lead collaborative ways of working and continuous improvement. You encourage their adoption where necessary to deliver the best results for the customer. 
  • Solution focussed achiever: You identify and implement plans to overcome obstacles and achieve ambitious goals. 
  • Financial Acumen: The ability to apply financial knowledge to the financial management of own work area, project, programme, business unit, business case or contract. Has good understanding of financial principles and is able to apply them to their immediate work area/project.  
  • Problem Solving: The ability to identify, investigate and resolve problems through gathering the necessary information, formulating and verifying hypothesis, determining the root cause(s) and selecting and implementing the appropriate solution.
