Support the development of the Global Sports Marketing Strategy for Football, Running, Training and emerging sports by servicing Sports Marketing Athletes, Partners and Federations in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in identifying and recommending the best current and next generation players and athletes across football, running, training and emerging sports in line with the brand strategy.
Support in identifying and recommending new trends and specialist sports within the market that fit within the global and local strategy whilst attracting the local consumer.
To service all contracted partners, including maintenance of contracts. This may not be limited only to the UAE and will require support in other markets such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt
Act as support between players, athletes and adidas internal departments, including business units, Brand Activation, PR/newsroom and Trade Marketing.
Support the control of existing athlete agreements (product and servicing).
Support with the development and growth of adidas runners in the UAE
Ensure timely and sufficient equipment of Sports Marketing partners with the material contractually agreed and ensure on- and off-field visibility.
Ensure alignment of execution for consistent brand appearance.
Work closely with the Brand Activation Managers to service and leverage athlete and player opportunities across their ‘owned’ social media platforms and key adidas brand channels.
Take part in promotional appearances of adidas contracted players/athletes and meet and brief adidas contracted assets for promotional appearances.
Comply with CAF procedures and P&L construction for new assets or renewals according to sport marketing strategy.
KPI’s:
Growth of Performance Categories Market Share within UAE and the wider GCC.
EM Net Sales, Category growth, FPST and DTC/E-com traffic.
MWB compliance.
Key Relationships:
Business Units, Global Sports Marketing, Activation, PR, Legal, Agencies, Partners and Athletes.
Knowledge, Experience and Capabilities
Extensive knowledge of football, running, training and emerging sports within the UAE and GCC countries
Ability to build and maintain relationships.
Ability to network, influence and utilize internal and external resources.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong administration skills.
Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills in both English and Arabic is a must.
Previous Sports Marketing, Sponsorship experience, ideally in Sport.
Required Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus.
Minimum 3 years of Brand and Sports Marketing Experience with an agency or client- side consumer goods company.
Fluent written and spoken Arabic & English skills.
