Augmenting the depth and durability of your paintwork, our choice of luxury finishes are specifically designed to work in harmony with the iconic lines of your JLR vehicles. 

 

The successful applicant will join a highly skilled team responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to a world class standard, supporting high profile vehicles up to and including one off vehicles for new models reveals at international motor shows and Global media launch events by achieving world class workmanship that meet the premium requirements of JLR brands.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

•    Full cleaning of panels prior to the paint process
•    Machine and hand flatting panels and plastics
•    Tinting
•    Colouring
•    Spraying
•    Flat and polish of lacquer to a mirror finish
•    Start and complete tasks within the build history book.  
•    Contribute towards ensuring the Paint team adhere to the planned schedule.
 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

•    City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in automotive / engineering discipline (Accident Repair etc), Indentured advanced apprenticeship or Armed Forces equivalent

•    Knowledge of repair/application techniques
•    Experience of wet spraying
•    Experience of applying an even, wet film thicknesses
•    Experience of taking dry film thickness and gloss level readings
•    Experience of working to vehicle grey book standards  
•    Must recognise safe working practices, including Health & Safety and environmental regulations
•    A good level of IT skills
•    Full UK driving licence required (6 points maximum)
