WHAT TO EXPECT
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our HR Team as an Employee Relations Case Management Advisor. The successful candidate will join an experienced and professional team who support the business with Employee Relations issues and cases focused on disciplinaries, grievances, absences and performance management.
In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of various complex ER cases in line with internal policies and processes. You will provide effective support for disciplinary actions, employee grievances, performance improvement and absence, including complex cases. In addition to this, you will also have the opportunity to support process improvement projects.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
In this position you will be supporting line managers to chair absence reviews, disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings, including dismissal and appeal.
Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in the wider People Function and the business to ensure that service and process objectives are delivered efficiently.
Make recommendations on appropriate case outcomes through applying sound judgment and based on appropriate risk analysis.
Use a coaching leadership style to build relationships and influence managers.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with HR experience focused on disciplinaries, grievances, absences and performance management.
Essential:
Experience of managing multiple complex ER cases, with the ability to effectively prioritise cases.
Organisation and coaching skills, with the ability to engage and support managers.
Strong communicator - both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Able to use rational judgement, critical thinking and data analysis to inform decision making.
