Position Summary:
This position provides integral support to the legal department with respect to a variety of litigation and other regulatory and compliance matters. You will be supporting our in-house legal team by reviewing, analyzing, categorizing and preparing legal documents and legal correspondence, as well as organizing and maintaining files and providing administrative support as required. You will also be asked to calendar important deadlines, coordinate responses to subpoenas, writs of garnishment and discovery matters, and help with corporate investigations and other compliance matters, assisting with other tasks as required. To be successful in this role, you will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. You will also need to be able to multitask effectively and essentially thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.
NOTE: This is a full-time in-person role based in the company’s headquarters in Miami, FL. Applicants must be available to work in Miami, FL Monday – Thursday, with work from home on Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review legal correspondence, legal pleadings and other papers as requested by in-house counsel. Prepare responsive correspondence or other documents as required.
Gather and analyze internal documents, data, evidence, and other materials that may be relevant to ongoing litigation, other legal matters, and investigations.
Organize and maintaining documents relevant to litigation and internal investigations in a paper or electronic filing system, including but not limited to Relativity.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of responses to subpoenas, writs of garnishments, and legal pleadings, as requested.
Coordinate with in-house counsel, business personnel and outside counsel on various legal issues, and assist in general filing and maintenance of legal documents,
Research legal issues, conduct docket searches, docketing of relevant legal deadlines.
Assist in-house counsel in various administrative areas, including calendaring, preparing expense and reimbursement reports, and other related tasks, as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Associates degree in legal/business areas preferred) and paralegal training and/or degree.
Minimum (6) years paralegal experience in a corporate in-house department or large law firm.
Excellent skills working directly with internal clients, outside counsel, state regulatory and licensing agencies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible; able to set priorities, handle multiple projects, manage deadlines and work effectively with people.
Detail-oriented and very organized.
Good communication skills.
Dedicated and team player.
Able to handle multiple competing deadlines;
Proven communication and computer skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
Demonstrated leadership skills and a detail-oriented mindset
