Logistics Manager – Introduction 
A dynamic, self starting logistics professional with extensive experience of managing Logistics (warehouse and transport) operations and large 3PL contracts. This is a rare opportunity to influence the ongoing success of a world expert in the manufacture of paints and coatings. Operating in over 150 countries, AkzoNobel is home to well-known brands, such as the UK’s favourite Dulux paint, and has been awarded Top Employer status in the UK & Europe. We are now recruiting a Logistics Manager to lead the warehouse and transport functions for our Decorative Paints business.

Logistics Manager – The Role
•    Ensure both current & future logistics service provision meets business needs
•    Effective contracts management of large contract, logistics service providers 
•    Achieve and drive KPI targeted performance linked to service/quality/cost
•    Outstanding customer service delivery through ensuring best in class fulfillment of finished goods to multi channel customer
•    Develop & nurture strong ‘one team’ working relationship with primary supply partners and internal teams.
•    Lead organization to deliver transformational Logistics projects
•    Identify, drive, and oversee delivery of continuous improvement projects.
•    Participate in Cross Cluster and or Cross Deco UK Projects

Logistics Manager – About You
•    Degree qualification, ideally within logistics or related subject
•    Ambitious and self-motivated to drive cost reduction targets and improve service
•    Significant experience in a senior logistic operations management role covering both warehouse and transport operations.
•    Development of performing supplier partnerships through focus on KPIs and SLA management
•    Experience of managing managers in terms of development and motivation.
•    Management and delivery of large transformation projects
•    A self starter, confident in making informed decisions with passion for operational excellence.
•    Excellent communication, negotiation & interpersonal skills
