Whether that product be a medical device, consumables in a hospital environment, cosmetics and toiletries, or industrial products, we make sure everything that makes its way to an end user is safe for use or consumption.

Duties

This is a highly demanding site leadership role requiring a flexible and innovative leader with experience of managing cross functional teams, delivering cost saving initiatives and leading improvement projects. The Operations Manager will thrive in a fast-paced culture with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

This Operations Manager position is responsible for the site operations team and all day-to-day duties carried out on site along with demand forecasting activities associated with Customers and products. The Operations Manager creates and maintains forecast models that covers all site demand and resource plans, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales and marketing, ensuring the delivery covers Safety, Quality, Customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial requirements.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the direct supervision and management of staff on site and requires close awareness and management of safety-critical equipment and associated safety-critical tasks.

Relationships

Internal: Plant Manager/General Manager, Country Manager, Health and Safety, Manager plant co-workers, Quality

Manager, Commercial & Sales teams, Human resources

External: Customers, suppliers; local authorities

Education Degree

    Required Experience

    1. A total of 10 years’ experience in a highly regulated operational environment, with a minimum 5 years of leadership experience

    2. An ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams is key.

    3. A structured, logical thinker with good analytical skills, and excellent presentation skills, with the ability to handle complex problems and deliver clear, concise solutions in a rapidly changing environment.

    4. Project management and Production Planning/scheduling experience is essential.

    5. Educated in a business discipline, coupled with commercial flair and sound judgement to make the right decisions, sometimes without complete data.

     

    Preferred Experience

    6. Able to learn fast and hit the ground running - there is potential to develop from here into more senior roles with in the business.

    7. Working knowledge of continuous improvement systems and methods

    8. Set challenging processing goals and communicate them to key personnel

    9. Provide motivation, support and guidance to all operations employees and teams on site

    10. Escalate any problems or obstacles to senior management, as and when appropriate

    11. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills with energy and charisma.

    12. Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity

    13. Create resource schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels 14. Proficient with MS Office suite.
