Skilled Operator at Kemira

Our Industry & Water segment helps municipalities and water-intensive industries with process and resource efficiency as well as responsible water use. In oil and gas applications, our chemistries enable improved yield from existing reserves and reduced water and energy use.  

 

We are now looking for a Skilled Operator to join the production team at our Goole site working on a 24/7 shift pattern. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • operating and maintaining the production equipment, following operating procedures and operating a chemical process to ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 standards. 
  • providing planned and unplanned maintenance support
  • carrying out in-process adjustments and repairing  pneumatic and mechanical equipment
  • assisting in production operations as required so a flexible approach to team working will be key to your success.

 

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • A mechanical or electrical qualification, ideally apprentice trained with post qualification experience in an industrial (preferably chemical) environment.
  • A good level of computer literacy
  • Previous experience of maintenance management systems, SAP would be an advantage.
  • Counterbalance Fork Lift License, MEWPS and PASMA certification
  • Siemens hardware/programme experience and/or PLC/SCADA experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to read and understand P&ID
