Learning & Development Manager at Uniper

Job Descrption

 Can you help us develop a learning strategy and culture for the UK? By implementing a robust L&D and Talent plan with blended learning solutions that are aligned to the group strategy and growth plans. Working with the functional leaders you will steer the identification of talent at a regional level (incl Early Talent co-ordination), support leadership development, help to manage succession planning and increase our Employer brand presence in the external market.

Your responsibilities

 

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders you will create and deliver the UK Learning & Development Strategy.
  • You will manage external service providers to ensure effective delivery of learning solutions, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • You will improve employee performance and drive talent management activities, by coaching line managers to develop high performing teams and track learning effectiveness.
  • You will co-ordinate and support the demand planning, attraction, resourcing, placement management for early talent cross the UK.
  • By building relationships with external connections, local colleges and subject matter experts, you will devise a plan to improve Uniper’s Employer Brand.
  • You will drive a culture of inclusivity, diversity and equality.
  • Monitor the learning and development spend to ensuring cost-effectiveness of  training and return on investment, developing meaningful KPI’s.
  • Manage the Apprenticeship Levy funding and utilisation across the UK.
 

  

Your profile


  • CIPD or equivalent qualification and/or substantial experience in HR, Talent  and Learning
  • Training design and development including leadership development with substantial experience of coaching managers
  • Good knowledge of ED&I issues within multi-site environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Effective stakeholder management that builds strong relationships, customer-focused, team-player
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable with technology and have previous experience of working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Strive to drive a culture of learning, development and continuous improvement within the business
  • Current knowledge of effective L&D interventions and evolving technologies
  • Familiarity with mentoring programmes
  • Excellent organisational skills; with the ability to manage projects and operational workload to meet deadlines
  • Proactive, demonstrating initiative to continually improve the L&D service and meet expectations
  • Up to date with industry trends and best practice
  • Empathetic, confident and enthusiastic professional who recognises that individuals learn in different ways with the ability to change and deliver the message to the appropriate audience
  • Forward thinking with the ability to develop training solutions (this could be thinking out side of the box with innovative ideas)
