We are looking for someone to be part of the team that is responsible for the Information Management service provided to colleagues of Uniper Energy Asset Services, both in the UK and Germany, and to the wider Uniper community. Uniper is seeking to appoint someone on a full time Information Management work placement on a one-year fixed term contract. The post is designed for an applicant carrying out one year of work experience and training prior to attending a postgraduate library course. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in one of the few remaining energy industry library's in the UK. It has a mission to preserve sector-related information and intellectual property while providing information services to support the company's ongoing and ambitious energy transition and the decarbonisation of the company's assets. The successful candidate will have the chance to gain practical hands on experience of working in a busy technical and engineering information service covering all aspects of service provision.

Your responsibilities
- Answering requests for information from colleagues
- Updating the information management pages on the intranet
- Day to day operation of the library management system
- Ordering conference papers and articles
- Supporting the delivery of a fortnightly newsletter
- Cataloguing filing and photocopying.
- Possibility to provide input to investigative research in support of engineers across a wide range and diverse energy industry.

Your profile
Essential
- Applicants must have good IT and customer service skills
- You must be enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible
- You must have an excellent attitude towards service delivery
- Have a commitment to post-graduate information studies
- Willing to learn and challenge yourself in a diverse environment
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a library.
- Past experience of dealing with customers.
- Past research experience.
Please note that we have offices and assets based around the UK and Europe and there may be the option and requirement for occasional travel in support of the service delivery and business development
