Definition of Class
This position oversees and manages facility operations of the South Oxford Center. The incumbent oversees and coordinates building and ground maintenance; provides management oversight for repairs, renovation, and construction projects, identifies facility related issues and recommends solutions; and provides guidance and supervision for staff.
Examples of Work Performed
- Oversees and coordinates building and grounds maintenance.
- Ensures facility and grounds are cleaned and maintained according to safety and university guidelines and procedures.
- Coordinates with Facilities Planning on renovations, projects, and occupant space construction.
- Conducts tours of facility with prospective tenants/occupants.
- Manages calendars for classroom and conference room reservations.
- Provides a safe and secure site for employees, tenants, and visitors.
- Responds to facility related issues and recommends appropriate action for resolution.
- Communicates with Facility Management on issues requiring attention.
- Serves as a liaison and interfaces with various university departments and external partners.
- Monitors and manages operating systems on a regular basis and performs daily walk through to identify any concerns.
- Ensures facility related projects are properly initiated and executed safely and timely.
- Manages and supervises work of the maintenance staff.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Education/Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
AND
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties.
Substitution Statement: Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
