About our group:
Our group is responsible for providing IT support to Seagate Sales, Service and Marketing organizations. This important role oversees the operation and strategic planning of global sales & marketing applications and ensures alignment with the business objectives of Seagate.
About the role - you will:
In this high-impact role, this individual’s principal goals are leadership in the design, definition and wide use of the applications that support sales & marketing business units, enhance the effectiveness of the CRM and related applications, and aligning of the resources to meet the Information Technology goals. Need to plan, coordinate, and direct all activities related to the development and management of applications that enhance business operations, and associated back-office systems. The Director of Sales & Marketing Applications will work closely with decision makers in Sales Operations to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. This individual is also responsible for supporting and assisting in the integration of existing and new applications in support of Sales Operations business objectives. The candidate will oversee the applications department personnel and is a key participant in the development of the IT Strategic Plan.
- Help shape our strategy to build and support our sales & marketing technology portfolio, primarily Salesforce CRM and it’s supported applications
- Define and execute measurable plans to identify areas of opportunity to build real business value that drives operational efficiency, cost savings, improved user experience and adoption of Salesforce and adjacent technology
- Manage product roadmaps, budget, and execution
- Work with external vendors to evaluate bolt on solutions as well as for resource augmentation
- Foster internal relationships at all levels of the Sales & Sales Operations business units to drive success of Salesforce projects through driving support & enthusiasm of IT programs and to foster a dialogue to gain a deep understanding of their objectives, challenges and identify areas where technology can drive impactful change
- Define and execute long-term and annual execution plans for the Salesforce team to unlock the full potential of Salesforce and ensure maximum impact & adoption of Seagate investments
- Partner closely with organizations throughout Seagate including the Product, Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Finance organizations to ensure alignment of key objectives
- Deliver key metrics and results for the IT organization while fostering cross-functional alignment to drive to measurable and successful outcomes for Seagate

Your experience includes:
- Leading large-scale business transformation programs using Salesforce.com or other CRM/ERP/Cloud systems
- Deep expertise in industry leading SFDC Transformation methodologies
- Deep understanding of Salesforce Sales cloud, Service cloud and Marketing cloud
- Leveraging force.com as platform for building custom applications
- A track record of highly successful engagement with enterprise IT customers
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities combined with ability to clearly articulate complex business proposals and to influence stakeholders at executive levels
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills that can quickly bring together Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Sales to execute against business objectives
- Consistent track record of leading complex, strategic initiatives
- Process and systems background
- Experience in managing team spread across geographies
- Knowledge and experience with both waterfall and agile project methodologies

The estimated base salary range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area is: $174,824.00 - $259,596.48. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
