Your role in the team

As a Model Deployment Engineer, you'll be part of a team that builds and manages the next generation of Machine Learning model execution platforms. This is a hands-on technical role, implementing and supporting platforms for the automation of decisions leveraging AI.

As a new capability to the enterprise, this is an exciting opportunity to innovate and live into the ATSV2.0 values in an emerging and rapidly developing discipline.

The team will loosely adopt a MLOps approach, where team members will have the opportunity to get involved in operational and automation aspects.  We hope to recruit a diverse mix of talented people, with a background in data management, operations/ administration, analytics, development, with a view to cross training to create a team of “well rounded” professionals. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Feature store product installation, patching and management
• Monitoring and alerting, capacity planning, resource management
• On-call support
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers and Data Scientists for the ingestion and use of data as model features
• Onboard the platform to cloud

So, what are the essential criteria to apply? 

• All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing of high tier / mission critical platforms 7x24
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Python, GitHub, Jenkins
• A minimum of 1 years experience with containerization, docker, Kubernetes.
• A minimum of 1 years experience with AWS foundational services (EC2, IAM, AIM, Storage, SNS/SQS)

We also have some desirable criteria

• Background in data stores / databases, data transformations
• Background in Machine learning environment (Notebooks, Frameworks like Tensorflow/pytorch and libraries like pandas, numpy, etc.)
• Experience with Kafka, Terraform and/or Ansible
• Experience with Spark and spark streaming
