How will you make a difference?

As a Lift & Stat Technician you will be responsible the maintenance and statutory inspections on service lifts as well as other statutory inspections within wind turbines throughout the UK and Ireland. A high calibre of responsibility and diligence is required to ensure that the safety of personnel using the lifts and other equipment is not compromised. 

 

Whilst no two days are the same, you key responsibilities will revolve around:

Maintenance – You will Perform statutory inspections and maintenance on wind turbine service lifts, as well as statutory inspections on lifting equipment and accessories, ladders, personal anchor points, and fall arrest systems, following lift manufacturer specifications.

Report - You will complete all required reports and documentation, reporting any defects promptly to the appropriate people. Completing them to a high standard and in a timely manner

HSE –  At Nordex Safety comes first! You will be responsible will be responsible to comply with all Nordex and windfarm requirements including health and safety, and it is your role to ensure that all inspected items are safe to use. You will also be responsible for writing risk assessments, method statements and work instructions.

Support – It will be your responsibility to provide technical support regarding the service lifts and statutory inspections, as well as answer tickets relating to Lift & Statutory inspections in our Service Now System.  

 

To succeed you will have the following:

Mechanical / Electrical experience – You will have experience working on Hailo and Zarges Lifts.

Analytical Mindset – Demonstrate you can identify and define problems, extract crucial information from technical data, and develop workable solutions to problems.

Adaptability – You will have the ability to work in an environment of continuous change and different challenges. With a positive attitude and willingness to learn, lead, and improve.

Flexibility - Flexible in working time and area with a willingness to travel away from home.

Team Focused - Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with your colleagues on group projects or team goals.

System Savy – You are computer literate and confident in using MS office, in hour databased and workload management systems, bonus points if you have used SAP!

Working at heights – This role involves working at heights, up to 100m. You will need to be fit and health and pass a working at height test!

Driving Licence – You must have a full EU driving license for this role.

Location – You must be located around Ayr, Stanrear or Glasgow


Educations/Job Experience

  • Nordex Authorised Technician (Desirable)
  • Experience Leading Turbine Works
  • Prior Experience working on Hailo and Zarges Lifts or NVQ L3 in Electrical/Mechanical/Engineering Discipline or equivalent (essential)

 

What are the working hours

Our core hours are 40 per week (Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm).

The job will be primarily site based. You will be expected to travel throughout the UK and Ireland with occasional visits to Europe. Typically you should expect to be out on site, away from home, for five days a week. The job will primarily require Monday to Friday working hours; weekends will be on an over time basis if required which is paid at time and a half.
