Job Title: IT Assurance Analyst (Lead)

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Alderley Edge or Edinburgh

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 3rd March 2024

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Assurance Analyst professional, at Royal London. As an IT Assurance Analyst professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and security of our information technology systems. Working, closely with various teams within our organisation, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of IT controls and procedures, identifying potential risks and weaknesses, and recommending improvements to mitigate these risks. Additionally, you will provide guidance and assurance to management regarding compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

 

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a deep understanding of IT systems and controls within the insurance industry. You should be highly detail-oriented, able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

This role contributes to our purpose of strengthening the mutual choice for customers.

 

About the role

 

  • Conduct IT control assessments and process reviews to identify areas of weakness or vulnerability.
  • Develop and implement IT risk management strategies and frameworks.
  • Evaluate and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues on IT controls and procedures.
  • Perform IT audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in the insurance sector.

 

 

About you

 

  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, ITIL or other IT risk framework qualification.
  • Proven experience in IT audit, assurance, or risk management in the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of IT controls and frameworks e.g., CobIT, ITIL and ISO’s.
  • Working independently while also being the lead member of the team, shaping the approach to new work and requests. As well as provide guidance and coaching to the IT Assurance Analyst.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision
