The Supply Chain Planner plays a crucial role in enhancing customer experience and adding continuous value throughout the Business Development and Supply Chain process. This role is pivotal in collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to streamline transportation management activities and optimize inventory planning for production across our facilities. Additionally, the Supply Chain Planner actively supports customers by managing daily interactions, forecasting inventory needs, and ensuring accurate data management and reporting. Work Schedule

This is a hybrid role where Monday and Friday are work-from-home days. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at our Colony Square office in Midtown.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily and monthly inventory and transportation management activities. This includes collecting inventory levels, updating orders and shipments, forecasting, and making recommendations for inventory planning.
• Plan outbound orders by monitoring inventory levels, assigning appropriate plant locations to ship to customers, and following up on pick-up and deliveries for customers to meet their production schedules.
• Accountable for reverse logistics management to ensure the appropriate supply of totes are being shipped from salvage operations to appropriate plants and also work with salvage operations to provide adequate trailer utilization and line-ready totes
• Improve and enhance Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI). Expand the VMI structure into additional suppliers where applicable.
• Work with operations to properly schedule production to meet customer orders.
• Work with Tosca’s 3PL to ensure uninterrupted service to Tosca’s customers.
• Manage all reporting, including usage, forecast, and shipping reporting. Assess the budget for inventory management and month-end closing reports, including freight approvals for A/R and A/P.
• Support the Sales and Service Representative with routine customer reporting and business review report generation.
• Provide logistics support to the Sales and New Business Development Representative during pilot and pack-out activities.
• Support additional projects and activities within the Supply Chain Team as necessary.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or transportation
• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, or logistics is highly preferred; other relatable experiences may be considered.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI, or other similar data analysis programs.
• Customer service experience via phone with a preference for customer-facing experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills both internally and externally via phone, email, and in-person
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and teammate relationships
• Must be a team player
• High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to think quickly, problem solve, make decisions, and resolve issues on time
• Ability to establish good rapport with all customer types and various levels of customer contact
• Willingness to travel to Tosca service centers, new customer implementations, and visit with existing customers with field representatives if required
