There’s never been a more exciting time to join National Grid!
As a nation, we’re working towards the goal of net zero carbon by 2050 and we’re committed to helping Britain reach this target by building a cleaner, greener energy system. But we can’t do this alone. We're looking for people who are brimming with enthusiasm and bursting with ideas to help us build and run a cleaner energy system for the future. Are you up for the challenge?
As an Insurance Officer, you’ll support key activities in defining and delivering the overarching insurance strategy for National Grid and provide insurance, claims and risk management advice and support.
Working closely with our Group Insurance Manager you’ll oversea the data and analysis that supports the annual (re)insurance renewal activity to deliver efficient risk transfer solutions across the Group.
You’ll provide insurance and risk advice for new projects and technologies as required and be responsible for identifying insurable risks opportunities and cost-effective insurance solutions.
This role will be based out of The Strand, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At National Grid, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace for everyone. So, if you’re excited about this role but your experience or qualifications don’t match the job description exactly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be the right person for our growing business in this role or another one.
Up to £55,000 depending on experience
