We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for the Duke Growing Child Pediatrics community-based practices located in Zebulon, NC and Clayton, NC as well other Wake County clinic locations We are seeking an individual with general pediatric experience and excellent communication and clinical skills who can work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
The Duke Growing Child Pediatrics NP provides direct patient care services to patients from birth to 21 years of age under the supervision of the Duke Growing Child Pediatrics physicians. The APP performs physical exams, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies, professional consultations, collects and documents data, and prescribes appropriate interventions and medications in order to coordinate patient care. Explains the necessity, nature, preparation and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic services to the patient and/or family.
The position is part-time (less than 20 hours per week). Primary commitment will be for two to five direct patient care sessions per week (session hours generally 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM) Monday through Friday to support the work of the Duke Growing Child Pediatrics clinics
