Course Code and Title: LGGA91Y3Y - Intensive Introductory Modern Standard Arabic
Course Description: An introduction to the basic grammar and vocabulary of standard Arabic - the language common to the Arab world. Classroom activities will promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Special attention will be paid to reading and writing in the Arabic script.

Minimum Qualifications:
Native or near-native fluency in (Modern Standard) Arabic
M.A. in Arabic Languages or Linguistics, Linguistics, Teaching a Foreign Language, Second Language Acquisition, or equivalent. ABD (Ph.D.) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching (Modern Standard) Arabic language courses at the introductory or intermediate levels.
Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. This course will take place in-person at UTSC during the Summer Y term (May - August).

Sessional Lecturer I Long Term $9,930.79
