Job Descrption
Our goal is to be Earth's most customer centric company, and we are just getting started. We need people who want to join an ambitious program that continues to push the state of the art in space-based systems design.

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for an outstanding engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively:

• Design and develop software/scripting test setups and supporting hardware for various subsystem validation of the satellite bus.
• Participate in data collection for various subsystems supporting the satellite bus.
• Perform analysis on data using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar.
• Participate in design reviews for subsystems within the broader team.
• Support production and integration efforts for hardware subsystems.
• Be a technical role model; instilling best practices across the full development lifecycle.

If this sounds like the role for you, come make history with us!

A day in the life
As a Hardware Test Automation Engineer, you will be a member of the avionics and power hardware team, focusing on the design and test for the various sensing and control needs (power delivery, propulsion, etc.) of the satellite. You will be expected to lead a variety of tasks, from test fixture design and configuration, to subsystem testing software/script development. As an experienced member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying specific subsystem testing requirements and ensuring high quality and innovative solutions are pursued. You will work across teams and support several Project Kuiper engineering projects within the satellite bus.

You will work with a team of top-notch engineers and collaborate with multiple other spacecraft design and integration teams. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before. Along the way, we guarantee that you will learn a lot, have fun and make a positive impact on tens of millions of people!

About the team
Our team is responsible for delivering production hardware subsystems for power delivery and propulsion control subsystems on the satellite bus. We take ownership and work hard to deliver the highest quality solutions to support the long-term success of Project Kuiper.
