We are looking for an experienced financial services Risk Manager, with a preferred focus on insurance distribution or credit broking and related products.

Sitting in the second line of defence Risk team, the Insurance Products Risk Manager will be responsible for leading one or more programs for our financial services entities based out of the UK and Luxembourg. The role is vital to ensure we comply with local and global legal and compliance requirements.

Key job responsibilities
•Second-line program level ownership for operational risk programs for our insurance distribution and credit broking entities;
•Identify and develop appropriate data sources and elements which contribute to risk-based assessments.
•Own, maintain, and annually update policies, procedures, and other governance documents, as necessary.
•Board and Executive Management level document and report writing. Develop detailed, data driven narratives to inform Board members of risk levels, mitigations, and impacts.
•Maintain a strong understanding of best in class risk and control principles, and regulatory expectations – embed governance processes to perform recurring gap analysis against those expectations, and drive remediation where necessary.
•Perform operational deep dives on compliance-related processes and systems. Understand payments business processes, regulations and controls, work with partners to identify root cause of issues.
•Manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- • 5+ years of experience in a financial institution, licensed money transmitter, or payments related e-commerce function.
- • 3+ years first line risk and control management and/or second line risk management experience.
- • Understanding of regulatory and industry requirements and standards regarding insurance distribution.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- • Comfortable managing through ambiguity with strong bias for action.

- Demonstrated track record of taking ownership and driving results, including:
- • Effectively use data to create an opinion, and influence senior stakeholders
- • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
- • Ability to manage and analyze data.
- • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment.
