Collaborate with psychiatric providers and provide medical monitoring of patients receiving Spravato (Esketamine) treatment for depression. Document treatment sessions and communicate with provider regarding patient progress, treatment planning, and adverse events. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and one year of addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Minimum CNA, CMA or EMT certification or greater
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid training complete within three months
Skilled in behavioral management techniques
Ability to lead discussion and educational presentations
Valid Illinois driver's license
Essential Responsibilities:
Administer Spravato treatments according to specific provider protocols.
Coordinate with specialty pharmacies to ensure timely shipment of Spravato for treatment sessions.
Notify provider when new Spravato orders need to be sent to the specialty pharmacy.
Monitor necessary vital signs and patient response to Spravato treatment, including adverse events.
Administer psychiatric rating scales and counsel patients on completion of scales.
Document session notes, track insurance authorizations, and schedule patient visits using EHR software.
Communicate patient concerns or adverse events in a timely manner to providers and treatment team.
Submit REMS monitoring forms for each treatment session.
Work hours prescribed by supervisor and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Overtime may be required.
Act as an advocate for all clients and report all physical/psychological concerns to the medical and clinical staff.
Attend all scheduled meetings of psychiatric providers as designated.
Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
Assume any additional responsibilities as assigned.
