About The Team:

As any entry level  Buyer I, you are primarily responsible for supporting the Sr Buyers and Commodity Managers in day-to-day purchasing execution. This includes the ongoing procurement of materials, components, equipment, supplies, and services as well as supplier follow up and cross-organizational purchasing support that meets the quality standards of the company. The Buyer I will assume full responsibility for purchasing requirements and supply chain management to ensure timely (scheduled) deliveries of goods and services to stock, within budget and/or standard costs. Relies on support from Procurement, Planning, and Production teams to get cross-functional feedback and guidance to accomplish goals.

A Day In The Life Of Our Buyer I:

  • Procures materials components, equipment, supplies and services necessary for the efficient operation of the company, including scheduling purchase orders for production and non-production needs
  • Organizes and executes catalog purchases for internal Engineering and site support on a daily basis
  • Sets up and maintains item, supplier, and planning data in NetSuite ERP/MRP and Arena PLM systems
  • Exercises a good working knowledge of goods, services, and sources of supply to make purchases at prices consistent with quality and quantity requirements
  • Determines material requirements from Engineering and Production schedules to coordinate and ensure the efficient movement of materials through design and production cycles while
  • minimizing/eliminating line down situations
  • Identifies and evaluates sources of supply consistent with cost, availability, quality, service, and quantity requirements of the company
  • Develops, implements, and supports sourcing and supplier management initiatives
  • Supports Planners in reviewing of ERP data, scheduling PO creation, monitoring inventory levels, setting safety stock levels, flagging discrepancies or risks, and reviewing supply/demand plans to create production plans to ensure the availability of company products to achieve sales and inventory goals
  • Works with Receiving, Finance and suppliers to quickly reconcile purchase order, receipt, and invoice discrepancies
  • Ensures that the highest quality standards are maintained for all purchasing activities and responsibilities
  • Maintains and report out on metrics, KPIs, and OKRs
  • Supports EHS activities and initiatives
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

About You:

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree
  • Desire for an entry level material buying role in a manufacturing environment
  • Interest in MRP, ERP, and PLM systems
  • WIlling to learn supply chain management and inventory control
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace and MS Office products
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teams
  • Love data and analysis to drive decision making
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to work under ambiguity
  • Organized and able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Goal-focused and committed to completing tasks
  • Logical thinker with creative problem-solving ability
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, patient, and diligent

Pay Transparency

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.

California Pay Range$64,480—$77,600 USD

Noah Medical may offer remote, hybrid, or onsite work arrangements within the state of California depending on the specific team and/or role where applicable.
