Job Descrption

The Director of Revenue Management and Pricing Strategy is a key senior position accountable for driving and delivering the businesses revenue targets and developing revenue opportunities across the Virgin Red portfolio.

Obsessed with member value, whilst balancing the commercial needs of Virgin Red and our partners, this role will work across the Virgin Red and Virgin Companies’ teams to ensure revenue management is continually optimised to achieve the necessary commercial outcomes.

Tell me more

  • Setting the organisations pricing strategy to protect and grow the companies margin.
  • Identification and implementation of “quick wins” where early re-calibration of redemption levels needed to unlock margin and / or customer value.
  • Optimization of customer redemption opportunities and the customer perceived value across the full partner portfolio, building relationships with partners to maximize availability.
  • Develop dynamic pricing solution with IT and innovation teams.
  • Inventory management (non-operational), utilising points and non-points related products for rewards across members and colleagues.
  • Designing, monitoring, and reviewing pricing governance processes.
  • Day to day management of the team.
  • Influencing and collaborating with Revenue Management counterparts and Commercial Directors within the Virgin Companies, as well as the wider Virgin Red Commercial Teams to optimise opportunities.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Finance Team to ensure that reward pricing aligns to the cost per point objectives and targets set for the business and that this is managed through regular governance and review.

What you’ll need

  • Experience at Director or Head of Department level, within a pricing team.
  • Deep comprehension of loyalty pricing economics and setting pricing strategies.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing multiple internal stakeholders to achieve deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex analysis clearly and concisely.
  • A self-starter who can work in a matrix environment, collaborating with and inspiring others.
  • Experience within the airline/travel industry is valuable.
